With all three distances - Half Marathon, 10K and 5K - available with COVID-safe measures, meaning waved starts between 8.30-10.30am, choose your challenge and make a great day out before the festive season kicks in.

Entry on the Day will not be available at this event.

 

COVID-19 Mitigation

NHS Test and Trace will be enforced at this event. Participants will be required to complete a health declaration prior to attending or check-in using the NHS COVID-19 app (available for download in advance for iOS or Android). Participants will not be permitted on site if they fail to follow this process, the full requirements for which will be communicated to all pre-registered participants in the week leading up to the event.

One-way navigation and social distancing signage will be present on site to facilitate adherence to official guidance and queue markers must be observed at all times. Sanitisation stations will also be available at various points and should be used as frequently as possible.

Participants will start individually at (approximately) 15 second intervals to maintain a sufficient distance between runners, with a recommended 15/30-minute arrival window communicated to all participants prior to the event. Participants from the same household/bubble will be permitted to start together.

Participants are only permitted to overtake when there is enough room (at least 1m) to do so.

Once finished, participants will need to keep moving and follow signage and steward directions to keep the area clear for other finishers. Any post-run rewards (medal, water etc.) will be self-service (following hand-sanitisation) to ensure there is no contact amongst staff and participants.

Participants should also review the UKA Participant Code of Conduct prior to their arrival.

 

Event Details

Bib Numbers will be available for collection on the day for pre-registered participants. To be fastened to the front of your top using safety pins provided, your number should be visible at all times. Your timing chip is attached to the back of your number and should not be removed. You must complete the relevant health information on the reverse of your number prior to starting your run.

The Route is suitable for runners of all abilities. Participants are asked to remain vigilant of other runners, spectators, marshals, cyclists, dogs and other users of public footpaths and rights of way at all times.

This event will not be Licensed with UK Athletics.

Results will be uploaded live to our website (internet connection permitting) and communicated to all pre-registered participants within 24 hours of the event.

All finishers will receive a Medal on completing the event and, subject to a competitive field of runners, Prizes will be awarded (post-event) to the top three runners overall and the top runner in each of the veteran categories (V40/V50/V60/V70) for both males and females.

Marshals will be present on the course throughout.

Course Markings, including arrows, tape and distance markers, will be present on the route where necessary.

Pacers will not be offered at this event.

 

Facilities

Bag Drop will not be available at this event. Runners should arrive ready to run.

Portable Toilets and sanitisation stations will be available for use at the start/finish area throughout the event.

Water Stations are expected to be available at the halfway point on the Half Marathon route only, participants running the 10K or 5K will need to be self-sufficient and carry anything required to refuel and hydrate during the run. Water will be available after the event for all participants.

Refreshments are not expected to be available at this event.

There are no dedicated Changing Rooms/Showers at this event.

Lost Property from an event will be kept for one month. If unclaimed, or ownership cannot be determined, lost property items will be donated to charity.

 

Other Information

As part of our COVID response to ensure social distancing is possible throughout the event, we are not currently permitting runners to run with Buggies/Pushchairs.

Spectators are discouraged but publicly accessible paths may be nominated/excluded at this event.

This event is not suitable for Wheelchair Users.

Noise-cancelling Earphones/Headphones are prohibited and whilst we discourage the use of other earphones/headphones at this event, participants choosing to use them should ensure they are set to a minimum volume such that instructions from marshals or other event officials can be clearly understood. We reserve the right to disqualify participants who cannot hear instructions as a result of their use.

Whilst there is no strict Time-Limit for this event, in order that we adhere to the restrictions imposed by the venue hire agreement, it will be necessary for us to begin deconstruction of the registration/finish area(s) at approximately 13:30 to facilitate the removal of all equipment from the premises by the agreed time. Runners will therefore need to be able to complete their registered distance by this time.
