This cycling sportive offers a varied terrain ride with many traffic light areas all done with a relaxed atmosphere with like-minded cyclists.

PEAKS SPORTIVE:

All routes will start and finish at  Bakewell Showground, and we have tried to make the whole route as open and free flowing as we could.

Although the routes are comprehensively marked with route arrows on occasion people move these signs, we suggest downloading the route to a phone or navigation device just in case you need route assistance on the day.

ROUTES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

WE ARE CONSTANTLY CHECKING THE ROUTES TO IMPROVE YOUR RIDING EXPERIENCE.

 

FEED STATION LOCATIONS:

Feed 1, Langley village hall, 50 km Long route only.

Feed 2, Onecote Village hall, 76 km Long route, 43 km Medium route, 43 km Short route.

Feed 3, Hartington Village hall, 121km Long route, 64km Medium route, 54km Short route

 

FEED STATIONS:

We try to have a varied mixed at the feed stations, these will include: -

  • Energy drink
  • Water (V)
  • Bananas (V)
  • Flap jack
  • Crisps
  • Nut bars
  • Chocolate crepes
  • Cake
  • Jelly beans or Jelly babies

 

Plus a few other things that we source as they become available.

Please note we do not supply gels and we cannot guarantee the products do not contain nuts, gluten, or wheat, if you have specific food tolerances you will need to carry your own supplies.

 

COURSE SPLITS / CUT OFFS:

For the safety of riders and the sanity of event staff we must use cut offs, if you start your ride at the appropriate time and can ride at approx. 12 mph you will make the course split point.

On this event the cut off is at 12.30, you must be at 82 km split to continue the Long/Medium route.

If not, you will be directed to the short  course, this affects the Long/Medium split only.

RIDERS ON ALL ROUTES MUST RETURN TO THE EVENT VENUE BY 1630

 

SPECIFIC EVENT INFORMATION:

Parking will open at 0700

Registration will be from 0730 – 0845

You can start from 0730 - 0900

The START will close at 0900 you will not be able to start after this time.

There will be a small safety brief on the start line just before the event begins, if you miss the briefing, you will not be able to compete.

 

EACH RIDER WILL RECIEVE:

  • A fantastic finisher medal.
  • Entry goodies (Distance specific).
  • Timed results.
  • Safe bag drop.
  • Aid station.
  • First aid in the event centre and throughout the event course.
  • Post-race refreshments (Available to purchase).

 

MORE INFORMATION:

Whether you are setting yourself a fitness target, raising money for your good cause or just coming to join the hundreds of other riders who are riding for their own goals, you know you can also ride just for fun.

(The event is limited of 500 riders over all the distances).

On entering the event you will receive a booking confirmation email.

(USE A GENUINE EMAIL ADDRESS)

Further event details will be sent to your registered email address before the event.

Event updates will arrive approx. 2 weeks before an event, but everything you need to know is contained within these event pages.

Transfers, deferrals, and entrant swaps will close 1 month before the event, when the event sells out, we will operate a waiting list.

If a space becomes available, you will be invited via email to enter.

FANCY HELPING AT AN EVENT:

We always welcome volunteers at our events so if you fancy joining the team for the day or even a few hours at registration or with parking, please get in touch. You will be rewarded for your efforts and will be able to choose an event to enter for free, that is any event and any distance.

You do not need to help at a Sportive, if you help at any of our events, running, cycling, triathlons you can enter multiple events for free. (Dependent on time given).
