Dark Valley

Moors Valley Country Park, Horton Road, Ringwood, Dorset, BH24 2ET

Dark Valley is set within the grounds of Moors Valley Country Park, offering a fantastic chance to run around the trails and woods in the dark!

The Dark Valley half-marathon route is two laps of the trails, pathways and woodland, with maybe a little hill, and is approximately 14 miles. The 10K is a single loop of the same course. If you've not joined us before, check out this video from the 2019 races to give you a feel of the event.

Once you’ve finished a bit of running and messing about in the dark, you’ll be rewarded with a medal and your goodies.

When you enter our races you are able to opt out of receiving your finisher's goodies, which we usually hand out at the end of the race. Instead, the cost of your goody bag will be donated to the Wilder Dorset Appeal, and you can read more about that project here. If you don’t opt out, you will still get your goody bag, and you can optionally choose to make a personal contribution if you wish here. Every runner still gets a medal.

We will also give our unique awards to the first, second and third men and women for each race.

There will be hot drink vendors ready to serve you pre- and post-race.

All competitors must wear a head or chest torch.

Free parking is included with your race entry. You can arrive on-site any time after 3.30pm to take advantage of this offer.
