The race HQ and the start/finish point of the race is the farm at Plas Dolben - just 2.5 miles from the summit of Moel Famau. There is camping available and there will be refreshments available to purchase.
This event is completed in teams of 2. Its very simple in theory - 1 runner runs up to the summit of Moel Famau, then hands over the timing band to their teammate who descends as quickly as possible to the finish! The initial section through the fields is marked and MUST be followed, however after a few hundred metres and once out onto the open hillside, YOU choose your route! For descending runners, its obviously the other way around - descend via whichever route you want, until the final approach to the finish where you pick up the marked route through the finishing fields.
