Remembrance Run

LOCATION: Hinchingbrooke Country Park, The Stukeleys, Huntingdon. PE29 6DB

It's a six hour event, run as far as you can during the six hours and a little bit more if you're lucky, as long as you are leaving the Base Camp by 5:59:59 you get to run another lap, we have designed a 5.3k lap throughout the park consisting of gravel footpaths and some grass areas.

You can run as much or little as you want to, you can rest between laps if you like and head out for some more.

You may be completing your first official 5k,10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or even ultra-Marathon, or it may be your 100th or 1000th.

This race is also ideal for those who want to try and achieve a Marathon distance and for those who also want the option to push a little further, possibly an ultra but without the complications of trail ultras, with next to no navigation, no kit required, an aid station every lap and straightforward logistics.

When you enter the race, you will receive an email from Zig Zag Running.

Parking is chargeable at the Hinchingbrooke Hospital which is just a short distance away from the Country Park. More details of the parking will be made available in the race brief prior to the event.

Approximately a week before the event, you will receive a detailed race briefing pack explaining the times and set up, if you are hoping to run with someone or possibly in a group, once you have entered, I suggest entering the event at the same time or please send us an email and we will do our best to accommodate.

On the day

We will position a marshal at the Hospital Car Park to assist you with your parking and direct you then onto the venue. You will then proceed to the base camp area to collect your bib numbers.

There will be a space for baggage to be left (subject to COVID restrictions being lifted) but these are left at your own risk and should not contain valuables.

The Race HQ/Base Camp is located at the start and Lap point where we will have our water/aid station, the Race director will call you all to the start line where you can remain socially distanced for the race briefing, then you will progress to the start line in your coral of up to 6 people to start the race.

The terrain consists of country park footpaths and grass areas.  Our suggestion is to wear road trainers, but depending on the weather before the event you may want to bring trails if you have them but not essential.

We have designed a Bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race. (Unless you have chosen the Lucky Dip Option where your medal choice will be a random selection on completion)

We will have virtual spaces available for anyone who wants the run for the medal but cannot make the event date. These are only available on our Zig Zag Running website

Important note: Parking is additional for this venue but the entry price is reflected

This race is limited to 100 People.
