Trick or Treat Halloween

Moors Valley Country Park, Horton Road, Ringwood, Dorset, BH24 2ET

Trick or Treat Halloween is new for 2022! This event is in support of Dorset Mind and gives a fun, alternative activity for Halloween. The event features Junior 5K, 5 Mile and 10 Mile races, all with lots of scare opportunities. The races are all set within the grounds of Moors Valley Country Park, offering a fantastic chance to run around the trails and woods in the dark. The course is made up of trails, pathways and woodland, and has a Halloween feel.

Once you’ve finished a bit of running and messing about in the dark, you’ll be rewarded with a medal and your goodies.

We will also give our unique awards to the first, second and third men and women for each race distance.

There will be hot food and drink vendors ready to serve you pre- and post-race.

All competitors must wear a head or chest torch.

Free parking is included with your race entry, so you can arrive on site any time after 3.30pm to take advantage of this offer

The Country Park is open all day for visitors and has a wide range of activities if you want to make a day of it.

£2 of your race entry fee goes direct to Dorset Mind to support their work. Dorset Mind is a pioneering local charity that has been supporting local people with mental health challenges since 1946. They educate, challenge mental health stigma and inequality, and promote recovery by empowering individuals to develop resilience. They offer 1-2-1 and group support services to help people regain social skills, confidence and self-esteem. As well as wellbeing programmes for schools and workplaces, they also provide volunteer opportunities across all areas. You can add an additional donation to your entry if you wish.

NEW FOR 2022. When you enter our races you will be able to opt out of receiving your finisher’s goodies, which we usually hand out at the end of the race. Instead, the cost of your goody bag will be donated to the Wilder Dorset Appeal, and you can read more about that project here. If you don’t opt out, you will still get your goody bag, and you can optionally choose to make a personal contribution if you wish here. Every runner still gets a medal.
