Vale of Clwyd Half Marathon Road Race

The VoC Half 2021 will be the 9th running of this friendly, low key event, taking in the country lanes around Llandyrnog Village in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd. The course is gently undulating, rather than being particualrly hilly, and gives you great views of Moel Famau and the Clwydian Hills above you, as well as futher afield to the West and Snowdonia. It's a great way to round off your year of running, with hopefully a good run taking you in to the festive period and beyond with some real momentum!

The event shall be licensed with and run under UK Athletics rules, and the course is measured accurate.

KEY INFO

Distance: 21.1km

Ascent: 137m

Water Stations? Yes - but bring your own bottle/soft flask to fill up

The Sports Pavilion field in Llandyrnog Village is both the start and finish point for the race, as well as being race HQ.

The course is wonderfully scenic, the undulating route taking you to the villages of Llangynhafal, Gellifor, Llanychan and Llanynys before finishing where you started, in Llandyrnog village. Despite the undulations, there are some very fast sections which explains the many PB’s that have been achieved on the route. All finishers will receive a well earned VOC Half Marathon medal upon finishing!

Chris Pratt enjoyed the 2015 edition of the VOC Half, stating:

Thanks guys for today’s event. Loved every step. My 15th half of 2015 and a new PB to complete the year. Brilliant, friendly and cheery marshals and a well organised event in a lovely part of the country.’
