A return of the Beaminster 5 km & 10 km will start and finish at the sports pavilion in the centre of Beaminster, registration and all the other facilities will also be at the Pavilion.
The route will be open to traffic, however there are plenty of wide pavements and quite roads to run on, with plenty of marshals around the course, the run is a safe, scenic but tough route starting and finishing in Beaminster Town.
The event is more for fun, its still 5 km and 10 km (Well just over) but with some walking from parking to registration (600 m dependant on where you park)
Please note there is no official parking for the event, there is plenty of on street parking and parking is also available on the industrial estate
10 km Route
The 10 km route will start in Beaminster, before heading for Stoke Abbott, Once passed The New inn (Great for spectators), we head for Norway lane and our special little friend.
With some spectacular views over the rolling Dorset countryside,we have a mix of rolling hills, fast and flat sections and one very special incline but its still stunning to run on.
The down hill section once we turn towards Stoke Abbott is fast, and as we pass The New inn the end is close, after a few hills (Little ones)
The 5 km run will also start and finish in Beaminster, but is a straight run out to The new inn before looping back to Beaminster, with some equally stunning Dorset countryside to view as you run, there are just a few pesky little hills, on the route back.
We are trying to create local good fun but inclusive running events so if you are new to running or you want to run with children as always 14's and under run for free.
This route will test you, its up and down, with flat bits for respite, sometimes hills just get in the way you cant run flat all the time.
Prizes for first place Male, Female and child, but everyone gets a superb medal.
