A relaxed yet stunning tour around the Somerset levels, this fun ride is about taking your time, enjoying the views and just getting in some early season miles.
Now in its fourth year, with a partial re-route and revamp for 2020, making it so all routes ride the Cheddar gorge climb and well as making the Medium a 100km ride.

Starting and finishing at Glastonbury football ground (Abbey moor stadium), we have tried to keep all the good bits of the previous year’s rides, the ride routes have all been adjusted, to remove a few climbs but to still keep the ride an interesting mix of flat sections, short sharp climbs and off course the bit you want to ride cheddar gorge.
With a strict limit of 500 riders.
LONG ROUTE 162 km or 102 Miles
The long route isn't a leg burner, but it will include the iconic climb through Cheddar Gorge, being an early season sportive, its more about testing where you are after your winter training, but it would be wrong not to include the climb, the cut of times are there for the safety of both the riders and the sanity off the staff.
Be under no illusion the long route will still test you, its long with an iconic climb and a few other inclines just in case you haven't worked hard enough.
MEDIUM ROUTE 110 km or 68 Miles
This medium route at 110km is a nice flat (ish) affair other than the Cheddar gorge climb (Its long and steady), the ride could be a quick pace but the event is more about adding another dimension to your training, it’s not necessarily about speed ,it’s about putting those longer miles into the legs.
There are a few tests during the ride in the shape of some nice climbs that will need some effort.
SHORT ROUTE 63 km or 40 Miles
The Short is an ideal opportunity if you are new to Sportive riding or you just want a nice easy ride, great for a family ride, we are happy for children 14 and Under to attend for FREE, as long as they are accompanied with an paying adult (One adult/one child per entry).

Whether you’re setting yourself a fitness target, raising money for your good cause or just coming to join the hundreds of other riders who are riding for their own goals, you know you can also ride just for fun.
(The event is limited of 500 riders over all the distances).

Event updates will arrive approx. 1 month before an event, but everything you need to know is contained with these event pages.
FANCY HELPING AT AN EVENT:
We always welcome volunteers at our events so if you fancy joining the team for the day or even a few hours at registration or with parking, please get in touch. You will be rewarded for your efforts and will be able to choose an event to enter for free, that’s any event and any distance.

You don’t need to help at a Sportive, if you help at any of our events, running, cycling, triathlons you can enter multiple events for free. (Dependent on time given).
SPECIFIC EVENT INFORMATION:
Parking will be open from 0715
Registration will be from 0730 - 0845
You can start anytime from 0730 – 0900 (THE START WILL CLOSE AT 0900)
There will be a small safety brief on the start line just before the race begins, if you miss the briefing you will not be able to compete.
