The New Looe 10 Miler Weekender

Why not enjoy a weekend away in the Cornish fishing village of Looe? Spend a Friday and Saturday night, plus entry for a popular and challenging 10 miler, all for as little as £45 (based on 4 sharing a Tencreek six berth mobile home) 2 km fun run on Saturday late morning. Disco and band on Saturday night at Tencreek Holiday Park.

The Looe 10 Miler is an open event and is also part of the Cornish Grand Prix series. Race entry is £15/£17 (unaffiliated)

Course Description:

An undulating run through West Looe & out onto the coastal road to Talland. A loop around the Killigarth, Porthallow area brings you back down to Talland for the return leg to the finish. It's the 7th year for this race; sponsors this year include Gibson's Cornish Ice Cream, Tencreek Holiday Park - others to be announced. This race is part of the Cornish Grand Prix series. We regret that the course is not suitable for wheelchairs. No dogs, pushchairs or walkers.

Registration:

The race HQ will be downstairs in The Millpool Centre and registration will be from 8.30am to 12.30pm. Pre-entries must collect their race numbers on the day. The postcode for the Millpool Centre is PL13 2AF. As you enter Looe, please follow the Race Signage for the Millpool Car Park. On the day entries will be available, numbers permitting (see regular updates as limit of 750 approaches)

Parking:

There is ample "Pay & Display" parking available in the Millpool Car Park (£2.30 for all day) As usual at races we would recommend that you car share if at all possible

Refreshments:

Hot/cold drinks and food will be available to purchase for runners & spectators upstairs in the Millpool Centre

The Race:

The start and finish are in the Millpool Car Park. We aim to start at 1.30pm prompt. Please note that marshals are not allowed to stop any traffic. You must obey marshal instructions and take responsibility for your own safety whilst running the course, especially on the public highway. Final decisions have yet to be made about the memento; we have asked for shirt size in the event it is a shirt. All pre-entered runners will receive a memento. Please note that runners must not use any portable device with earphones, headphones or earbuds. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in your disqualification and your time will not be recorded.
