Each year 140,000 children go missing in the UK alone. On Sunday 25th September, we are inviting families of missing people and the general public to start a movement to step-up the services we can offer for these vulnerable children.
Whether you walk or run one, three or ten miles you are part of a race to provide support families facing the agony of missing a loved one. We are asking that you register to take part and ask friends to sponsor you £1 per mile you walk or run. The more people we reach through your sponsorship, the more we can expand the reach of our services.
Over the past five years Miles for Missing People has been an important day to run, raise awareness and remember missing loved ones. Building on this success, this year we want to go further, fundraise harder and find more missing children. Miles for Missing Children is just the beginning of our mission to Find Every Child.
Races to enter:
Challengers - 10 miles - £25 (3 laps)
Champions - 3 miles - £15 (1 lap)
Children - 1 mile - £5 (1 lap)
On the day:
On the day you’ll enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere with live music from the Missing People choir, kids activities, snacks and refreshments. There will be a registration tent, baggage drop and chip timing so that your only concern on the day is beating your personal best. Also in the charity village will be post-event massages from Summit Wellbeing!
