Rural Running Normandy Family Activity Weekend

Following the success of our 2018 L'Esperance Camping and Running weekend, we are returning to Normandy, France for a week of activities, with soething for ALL family members.

We will once again be based at Forest View, near the village of Dorceau, in the Orme Region of Lower Normandy. Forest View is run by Sarah and Peter Wilson, who will be welcoming us back after looking after us this year.

Forest View is 2 hours south of Caen, 2 1/2 hours from both Le Havre and Dieppe. If you either don't have the room, or the inclination, to transport, and then erect your tent, why not take the option of hiring a pre-erected, 4 berth tent, that will be ready and waiting for you.

The week will include activities for all the family, and will include running (of course), a half day fishing competition for the kids, welly throwing, egg and spoon race, and a piggy back racing. Our runs will include a 6km (2 lp) circuit of a beautiful nearby lake, followed by a lakeside buffet breakfast, a 10km run across beautiful countryside with stunning views, to a riverside park, with a picnic, and then the 5k return (optional), and also an out and back half marathon along a section of the Via Verte, an unused railway line, finishing off by the riverside with a family picnic. There will also be plenty of opportunity to explore the local region with its lovely market towns and sleepy villages.

Our evenings will also feature something for all, including a pub quiz and a 'embarrass your parents' session for the kids.

Once again Sarah and Peter will be providing a 2 course, plat-du-jour on 2 evenings and a group BBQ on the Friday evening.

Early booking is recommended as spaces are limited
