Following on from our successful 2018 camping and running weekend, we are happy to invite you to join us for a week of family fun, at Forest View Camping in Lower Normandy. The dates of the trip are arrive on the 27th May and depart back to the UK on the 31st May. If you wish to extend your stay by either arriving early, or departing later, please email u on jeff@ruralrunningevents.com. Our base for the week is 2 hours south of Caen and Le Havre, and 2 1/2 hours from Dieppe.

The weeks activities include runs of 5k, 6k, 10, and 15k, on beautful countryside routes, with views to die for. We have a forest 5k, a lakeside 6k, a beautiful 5k/10k out and back to a picturesque picnic sport beside a river, close to the local village of Dorceau, and a 15km out and back along the Voie Verte (a disused railway line)

There are also lots of non running activities for the family, including a half day fishing competition for the kids, forest walks, welly throwing, badminton and a piggy back race! For the fishermen there is a well stocked carp lake, stocked with specimen carp up to 47lb.

We are once again able to offer those that either don't have a tent, or just would rather not pack, erect, then unpack one, to hire a pre-erected 4 berth tent, ready and waiting for you on your arrival. This is bookable via the 'Merchandise' section.

On offer once again, thanks to our amazing hosts, Peter and Sarah, is the optional 2 course 'plat du jour menu, served in the on-site licensed restaurant. A children's variation is available, as are options for vegetarians.

The price includes 4 nights on a large pitch, with clean and comfortable shower and toilet facilities, and entry into ALL of the various activities. Ferry travel is not included, but we are happy to advise you on the best route to take.

The emphasis on the week long holiday is enjoyment, and to that end, nobody is obliged to do anything they don't want to! You can do as much or as little as you like!
