Domestic Violence Awareness Run 5K

Williamson Park, Lancaster, LA1 1UX

This is a family friendly run or walk to raise awareness of domestic violence. The intention is to raise money for those charities and services involved in helping female domestic violence survivors.

This run has been organised to coincide with the United Nations 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based violence https://www.unwomen.org/en/what-we-do/ending-violence-against-women/take-action/16-days-of-activism

The run will take place in the beautiful Williamson Park, Lancaster. The run/walk will start from outside the cafe within the park. 

There are public toilets available in the park. There is parking in the park -there are two car parks one at the bottom of the park and one at the top which has limited car park spaces. Both car parks have disabled spaces. 

There will be prizes for first, second and third places. 

The route will be on the tarmac path in the park and therefore accessible to prams and wheelchairs, weather permitting.

The cost to enter: £15 + online entry fee - the costs will be used towards recovering costs of putting the run on and to contribute towards planning future events to raise awarenss of gender based violence. Activism Against Gender Based Violence is a registered community interest company: 13658133 which aims to promote community awareness of gender based violence through community activities.

Take Junction 34 from M6. The park has two car parks one at the top near the cafe and one at the bottom on Wyresdale Road. The run will set off from outside the cafe.
