On the western edge of the Black Mountain range, set in magnificent woodland in its own natural valley, we bring to you the very first DirtyDual Cross Duathlon.
This is the perfect multi-terrain course to test yourself if you are a seasoned duathlete or if you’re a first timer, it will give you the chance to benchmark your performance so come and give it a go! It’s all about the taking part for us at Cwm Cymraeg Events so every participant will receive a medal and goody bag with special medals for the winners!
Although this event is open to everyone over the age of 16, please be aware that a good level of fitness is required due to the undulating terrain of the location and one or two surprises along the way!
Our events are open to ANY type of bicycle, be it a gravel, hybrid, cyclo-cross or mountain bike, all other rules and regulations regarding cross-duathlons will be adhered to. The DirtyDual in the Mydd starts with a 5k run, continues with a 20k bike section (three loops) and concludes with a second 5k run. There is the option to take part as a solo, a pair (one competing in the run, the other doing the bike) or even a trio with one participant for each of the 3 categories. The age categories are as follows: 16-39 , 40-49 (Veteran Dualler) and 50+ (super-vets Dualler).
