Vale of Clwyd Half Marathon

KEY INFO

Distance: 21.1km

Ascent: 137m

Feed stations? Yes, every 5km and also the Finish area

Entry on day? Dependant on pre entry

All participants are to register between 8.30-9.45am for a 10am start at the Sports Pavilion in the centre of the village. The Sports Pavilion field is both the start and finish point for the race, as well as being race HQ.

The course is wonderfully scenic, the undulating route taking you to the villages of Llangynhafal, Gellifor, Llanychan and Llanynys before finishing where you started, in Llandyrnog village. Despite the undulations, there are some very fast sections which explains the many PB’s that have been achieved on the route. Water/refreshment stations are positioned every 5km on the route, with a feed station at halfway. All finishers will receive a well earned VOC Half Marathon medal upon finishing!

Chris Pratt enjoyed the 2015 edition of the VOC Half, stating:
Thanks guys for today’s event. Loved every step. My 15th half of 2015 and a new PB to complete the year. Brilliant, friendly and cheery marshals and a well organised event in a lovely part of the country.’
