Wickham 20 - 10 (CX)

The brand new race on the 2019 Rural Running Calendar is aimed at those of you that want a long training run for your Spring marathons, be it London, Southampton, Brighton or any other. The race is run on the Meon Valley Trail to the North of the village of Wickham, famous for its annual Horse Fair. The course consists of 3 laps (20M) or 1 lap (10k)

Marathon running is more than a physical challenge, it's also a great mental challenge. Overcoming the mental challenges when running helps overcome the physical ones.

The Wickham 20 is the ideal race in which to test your grit, in preparation for those Spring marathons, including London. The ulargelyflat course, on compacted gravel and firm paths takes you out from Wickham, taking in some glorious scenery to the north of the village. As a marathon training 'long run' this race will sell out so if you already have a spring marathon place, be it a charity place at London or are planning on competing in the Southampton or Brighton Marathons, enter now!

There is limited FREE parking at the Wickham Centre and alongside the start on the Meon Valley Trail, and pay & display parking in the village square.

Facilities for entrants include toilets, bag store, tea & coffee.

Registration for entrants will be from The Wickham Centre on Saturday 30th March from 8am to 12 noon, on race day from 8am and during the week preceding the race, from Rural Running, 58 Kelviin Grove, Portchester, PO16 8LE between 5pm and 8pm, Monday-Friday.
