Another brand new event, and in new territoty for us, its the Basingstoke Canal Towpath Ultra.
The Basingstoke Canal Ultra starts at Penny Bridge, and finishes at the Basingstoke Canal's junction with the Wey Navigation at Woodham, Surrey. The route takes runners through the Hampshire and Surrey countryside along the tree-lined towpath of the restored 200-year-old canal and through woodland, heathland, wetland and pasture. En route are Odiham Castle, the Deepcut flight of locks, aqueducts, scenic villages and historic buildings. The route is accessible at various points for supporters, with train stations at Hook, Winchfield, Fleet, Aldershot, Ash, Ash Vale, North Camp, Brookwood, Woking and West Byfleet.
For those who wish to make use of it, there will be optional transport from the finish to start, so entrants can leave their cars at the finish. There will be no transport from the finish back to the start.
