The French Way is the most popular of the routes of the Way of St. James, the ancient pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain, our route is the last 115km from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela.
THE JOURNEY OF THE CAMINO TREK
We think the trip is about more than just Santiago de Compostela so we will take our time during the day and enjoy all that is around us.
There may be time for sightseeing around our destinations in the late afternoon/evenings, with so many old buildings and beautiful churches to look at, it will just enhance the experience of the trip, travel to these sites will be included but entrances fee's may be payable.
Or you can choose to sit in the sun and enjoy the local wine.
AN APPROXIMATE ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrive Sarria and overnight stay. (Wednesday June 16th)
Day 2: Walk to Portomarin, 22 km (Thursday)
Day 3: Walk to Palas de Rei, 25 km (Friday)
Day 4: Walk to Arzua, 29.5 km (Saturday)
Day 5: Walk to Rua, 18 km (Sunday)
Day 6: Walk to Santiago de Compostela, 22.5 km (Monday), End of walk.
(An evening meal and a few glasses of something lovely to celebrate our achievements)
Day 7: Either onward travel (Tuesday June 22nd) or Stay another night in Santiago.
Day 8: Onward travel (Wednesday June 23rd)

Or you can choose to spend a few more days in Santiago de Compostela.

TRAVEL TO THE START LOCATION:
It is your responsibility to ensure you are at the start location for this experience.
This is in Sarria, Beyond Events do not organize your travel from Santiago to Sarria, although we can assist with transfers if required. (Fee applicable)
TRIP COST’S:
The total cost of the trip is £473.00 (Including all the booking fee’s).
COST UPDATE IF COMING FROM GATWICK (UK )
Because of the flight schedules of EasyJet, the flights only arrive and depart on a Wednesday.
There will be an extra day needed in Santiago on Tuesday the cost of this is £42.82 p/p.
Deposit of £105.50 = Balance to pay £373.00 + The addition accommodation of £42.82 = £415.82
If you don’t require the further night in Santiago or your making your own arrangements, after the deposit it’s a balance of £373.00
The initial payment through this webpage is a deposit of £100 (Plus the booking fee) this will then secure your place.
Further payments are due in staged intervals or you can pay the balance in full.

TRAVEL TO EXPERIENCES:
If there is a need to book flights, ferries or additional travel please contact us BEFORE you do this, the experiences have a limited number of entrants needed for the experience to take place, we will not be held responsible for any additional costs incurred booking these addition travel arrangements.

ACCOMODATION INFORMATION:
It may be difficult to find rooms that you will have to yourself, this can be done but will include extra costs (single supplement).
Unless otherwise stated you will be sharing a room and sometimes you may be in a dormitory of three (All of the same gender).
This is a very last resort we try very hard to ensure twin rooms, with single beds, this is not always possible in remote locations.
If you’re coming with a friend or a companion to share the experience with, we will room you together if you inform us first.
