The Beyond Dartmoor sportive is about more than the usual suspects and of course our route will still pass them, Burrator dam, Haytor rocks ,etc. (Route specific)
We have tried to find a route thats about visiting places on Dartmoor you wouldn't normally see we have open spaces, great riding lanes, superb climbs and stunning views, not only the special place that is Dartmoor, but beautiful rivers, stunning woodland and quaint villages and all seen from the saddle.
Both routes will Start and Finish at Okehampton rugby club
Short 101km (62 Miles)
The shorter of our routes will take you from Okehampton and skirt the western edge of the Moor, although initially not on Dartmoor its still a lovely start to the ride, with plenty of wide roads, and woodland to cycle through, were just preparing you for what lies ahead.
Once we turn onto Dartmoor itself the Beauty around you takes over, it truly is breathtaking, there is no rush, take it all in and enjoy the day.
The longer ride will take you marginally over 125km, so not only can you ride Dartmoor but you also get to hit a riding milestone.
The ride itself is a Beautiful ride around and through Dartmoor national park, with its stunning scenery and wide open spaces, the route will follow portions of the 2016 Tour of Britain which will include the ride up and past Haytor rocks, but we visit many stunning places around Dartmoor.
