Title: Amateur Duathlete

A very well organised and safe event.  The historic village of Eynesford made for a great start, a cheeky slightly undulating looping 5km to start (on road) which ebbed along the ridge overlooking the village and over the river to the transition area.  The cycle was fast and although there was the odd mild climb here and there the downhill's rewarded you with speed.  15 miles on the bike was short but enough when faced with the additional 5km run at the end.  Although filled with dread as I put my trainers back on the 5km was not in fact too punishing to finish - coming over the finish line with 1/2 the field watching however was another matter!
