Title: Terrible experience

Had a terrible experience at the Kingston 10k. We were informed that we had to collect our race numbers at the event because they would not be sent out. However the collection desk would close 25 minutes before the start of the race. So we were expected to stand around in the cold for nearly half an hour. Unfortunately we arrived late (but well before the start of the race). When we tried to collect our numbers we were told that we had missed our chance and that was that. The staff were completely disinterested and nobody seemed willing to help claiming health and safety wouldn’t allow us to race. Yet nobody was able to explain what the H&S implications were. So having traveled for over 1 1/2 hours to attend the race we we’re simply turned away. Terrible experience!
