Title: A 10k for nurses...
Sunday 1st October saw a group of wonderful people get together to run #10kForNurses at Greenwich Park raising money for Cavell Nurses' Trust! There were keen runners, reluctant runners and never-before runners. Although we were all at different levels of fitness and from different areas of the UK we all came together to show our support for the nursing professionals who are the backbone of our healthcare system. We were raising money for nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants who help us all each day, and who too often find themselves in times of hardship.
The beautiful setting in Greenwich Park and the smooth organisation of the race both help tremendously in encouraging all of us to finish our 10ks and forget about those niggles, stitches and moments of breathlessness along the way. The smiling and dancing stewards dotted along the route were also invaluable and helped us find bursts of energy we didn't know we had! The race did an amazing job at kick-starting the #10kForNurses fundraising month which runs across October, and we hope to join you again next year.
