Second event of 4, just as good as the first in the summer series.
A great event for a summer's evening.
Flat course. On trails but mostly solid ground. Well organised.
Could benefit from adding expected finish times signs to the start pen to help get the faster runners at the front.
Loved it. My first race and certainly not the last...
I would love to see the event avoid using any single-use plastics and if there are to be cups handed out, could there be a bin provided. Also, if there could be recycling for paper flyers etc that would be great too. If there has to be a water station, could runners be asked to throw cups directly into a container/ bin/ box? Something about seeing white, single-use plastic strewn all over a gorgeous landscape really jars.
Good fun
Very snarled up at the beginning, not sure how this could be improved, perhaps a staggered start.
Another very organised race from Barnes Fitness
I come back year after year to do the Summer Series, it's a great way of comparing fitness and improvement the series is also very welcoming for all abilities and there's always a cheery welcome from Ellie and Ian
A good overall run that is well organised
Nice route.
Fun and inclusive
Liked the slight course change last night, nice to see a different bit of the park
Great place for a run. Lovely scenery
Helps keep me fit which is great for someone in their 60s
Keep it going
Looking forward to the next one!
On the Southern Running guide website it said there would be a baggage facility at this race... there wasn't. Race director Ellie told the runners to leave any valuables in their cars... Thames Valley Police would be horrified. Their advice is to never leave valuables in your car.
Great event and well organised
Great all round event
This series is great for newbie runners as entry into racing
Great fun
Fun accessible series
Could you put a big black bin or large cardboard box 25 metres or so from the water station to collect the plastic cups? I realise you pick them up after but it looks horrendous, they could blow away and it would save you time at the end.
Overall a lovely run in pleasant surroundings with cheery marshals encouraging you along the way!
Due to congestion at the start which is ongoing for the first 1km, could I suggest a staggered start with either the 5k or 10k separated by 5 or 10 mins?
Lovely picturesque run, well organised. Thank you
A great summer series
This is my fourth year entering the summer series and it's great event for all levels
Competitive but friendly race around the lakes
Due to a flood in an area of the original route, an alternative route was created.
This route was more pleasant than the normal route.
Great race Great Atmosphere.
Friendly event and very well organised. Lots of newbies and good vibes from everyone who is a beginner.
A good event in a great setting.
As I live fairly locally I chose to go by public transport and walking. The lack of a secure bag drop meant I could only bring what I needed for the race, which given the potential for further rain before or after could have been challenging. Other than this, a good event which I would do again.
The Marshalls really make this event, super encouragement from them all.
