Fun!

I really enjoyed it, Marshall’s were amazing. Sadly I’ve heard some people complained about directions and mud ... I think seriously ... trail right, you kind of expect mud when it’s been wet and we were warned.
Loved it! Thanks

Loved the mud

Appeared to be timing chip issues with chips incorrectly programmed. Timing company did their best to try and unlock the carnage. A medical emergency meant the route had to be altered at short notice. Well done to Jeff and the team for altering the route at short notice and ensuring the run went ahead safely. Well don’t to the marshals, well positioned and thanks for the jelly babies!

Great run in great surroundings.

Apparently it was the same medal and ribbon for all distances, which for myself running the half marathon i found a little bit disrespectful

BEAUTIFUL RUN, BUT ORGANISATION NOT PERFECT

The car park was full 45 minutes before run time. No car park marshals, no one seemed to know the options. In the end about 100 cars were parked on the main road, despite pre-race instructions asking us not to. At start/finish there were far too few toilets and apparently no bag drop. By contrast the run itself was excellent, beautiful venue, great course, well signed and lots of cheerful marshals. Marshals at the multi directional junctions in particular did a great job ensuring the right runners (by event) went the right way. Would run the location again anytime - fantastic. My jury is probably still out about doing another event with Rural Running......

Such muddy fun

What a fantastic half marathon. For years my wife has dragged me up to hundred acres for walks and the chance to run a half was something I had to do .
I went into this purley for fun as I' leave Pb's for non muddy events . And what a lot of fun we had  3 of us from baffins fitclub decided to run together and enjoy the mud and fun we had splashing about in the muddy puddles supporting each other . Very scenic and challenging especially with some of the muddy hills but we enjoyed every second of it . Cant wait to do this one again next year   loved the medal . It was well organised and although our group of 3 was alone and we couldn' see any other runners we had no issue with getting lost as the marshalls werw fantastic . Especially the jelly baby lady screaming at us to run up the hill !! Well done rural running on another excellent event
RICH .

Very muddy, but that had to be expected. Really good event. Well done.

Pity no shirts at the end, would have really liked one.
