Really great event and well organised. Not the most inspiring route (4 laps) but very flat and so many people were there for PBs. That's great for those of us who are looking for that but it does mean that it mostly attracts club runners). I can imagine non club runners might feel intimidated by this race as you can often get lapped and the times are generally quite fast.

A lot of people noted that the course was slightly long after moving back the start. This wasn't too far but it didn't seem like this was compensated for at the finishing line.

Overall a great race and will come back again for another go.

This event was rather more "serious" than parkrun, where I, my son and his wife are regular participants, but we were made very welcome, and the fact that we were among the slower runners really didn't matter. In fact I ran my fastest 10K for about 6 years, and since I am in my 60s I was delighted with that! The organisation, with lots of friendly marshalls, nearby toilets, bag drop and refreshments was first class, I really can't fault it.

Ask people to bring a reusable cup for water for the end, to cut down on the plastic cups?

Superb value for money in a beautiful park (which doesn't have a parkrun, so this is the best way to run in it). No fancy corporate nonsense like the more expensive events, but does all the basics right. Well organised, polite and helpful staff, all centres on people who want to run. Pretty quick pace (I'm sub-45 for 10k and found myself around the middle of the pack), a professional finish funnel and nice range of snacks aimed at people who actually run. Go elsewhere for Instagram shots, go here for a great race.
