A friendly, inclusive event set in delightful countryside.
The undulating course is challenging, particularly in the extreme heat on August 5, and this is not a route for a PB. I refuse to pay the large entry fees demanded by some commercial races and was pleased to see this event has kept the price to a reasonable level. Having just thrown away a load of race medals and trophies as I'm moving house, I would prefer to see a useful memento for each runner, such as a Buff-type neckwarmer, and a bottle of wine or a bottle of local craft beer for category winners.
Scenic, low key, great value for money. Definitely not a pb course, but that's not what you go to the Clwydians for!
The 10k went fine ;-)
