Battersea Park Race - Saturday 17th September 2016

We have been hosting the Innovation Sports race series for over 12 years now!  At Battersea Park you can enter the 5k, 10k and the Kids 2.5k!

We pride ourselves on the organisation and vibrancy of our race events.  We have a race for everyone, all ages and abilities! So, don't feel left out... Come along and enjoy the Innovation Sports experience!

Race entry includes: Live chip timing, medal, snack bar, water, fruit, baggage storage, toilets, music & PA

The course:

5k/10k
The course is flat and on concrete paths/road inside the park. The course is a 2.5k loop and you will complete 2 laps for the 5k or 4 laps for the 10k, so please follow the instructions. We'll have plenty of stewards on the course to guide and encourage you along the way. The course is sign posted and parts taped, so please stay on the course. Please take care when running as local residents will be walking in the park.

Kids 2k
The course is a 2.5k loop on concrete paths.  All runners will complete 1 lap.  Parents are allowed to run with THEIR OWN children free of charge in this race only.

Race start and times:
Kids - 9.00am
10k - 9.30am
5k - 9.45am

Prizes:
The fastest two runners Male/Female in each race will be awarded a trophy.  This will be based on gun time, not chip time.

Our race sponsors will be giving out spot prizes on the day... so keep an eye out!

What else is at the event:
Our events are renowned for the organisation and atmosphere we create.  It is so vibrant as we'll have music playing in the background with our PA/commentator speaking to the crowd and getting you pumped up for the race.  The event will also provide you with:

  • Screen with course map and instructions
  • Medical team onsite
  • Warm up team
  • Baggage tent
  • Coffee & refreshments

If you are driving there is free parking outside the park.

How do I change my entry?

Please contact our team at running@innovationsports.co.uk and we'll be happy to assist you.

Will there be entry on the day?

Yes you will be able to enter on the day, but as always this is subject to availability.  We will post on the website homepage which entries are available prior to the race.  

Can I transfer to another event or claim a refund?

You can defer your entry to another event in the calender year, although if you change 2 weeks prior to the entered event a £5 administration charge will apply. You can claim a refund but NOT within 28 days of the entered event. A £5 administration charge is applied to all refunds. Please contact our  admin team for all queries.

Our race village will be at the bandstand inside Battersea Park.

Battersea Park Station - Exit Station to right along Battersea Park Road, walk 5 0m to traffic lights. Right into Queenstown Road, walk 150m, Park is on the left.

Queenstown Road Station - Exit Station to right along Queenstown Road, walk 300m, Park is on the left.

Victoria Station - Get a train to Battersea Park station, or catch a 44 bus.

Bus - These buses pass by or near the Park: 19, 44, 49, 137, 156, 239, 319, 344, 345, 452

Driving - The Park is on the south side of the Thames, between Albert Bridge and Chelsea Bridge. There are a number of Car Parks in the Park, all pay and display. The roads around the park are generally residents only or pay and display.
