The Clwydian 5 is for those who want a challenging run in beautiful surroundings, but don't fancy the longer 15 miler which accompanies this race. The route starts and finishes in the back garden of the Golden Lion Inn, Llangynhafal and involves 1633ft of ascent over it's 5 miles. The route will be well marked and marshalled throughout and is a great chance for those that like the shorter distances to get involved in this little festival of running in the Clwydian Hills!

The Clwydian 15 (ish!) has become a favourite for many, the route being praised for it's variety and scenic, challenging nature. The ascent involved is considerable, at just a touch over 3600 feet.
Carolyn Stamper-Clark finished 2nd in the C15, 2016 - and thoroughly enjoyed herself, saying: 'Clwydian 15- What an amazing route! This goes down as my favourite race to date. The scenery was incredible. The marshals were fantastic, encouraging and full of smiles. Well marked..... And the pub owners were very friendly too! And!, it's the furthest I've ever ran, yey! Will definitely be back...'
