An interesting route- I enjoyed the ducking under branches and jumping around on the "rooty" bits!

May be a bit too challenging for beginners who aren't used to uneven terrain- but they could always walk those bits.

Third time running this event

Not well publicised for runners so not many this year. Needs better publicity for those not on a bike.

Brilliant technical Cross Duathlon event, which I would highly recommend!

Race report:
What a fantastic #Duathlon put on by @tri_adventureuk - the Hurtleberry Cross Duathlon. The run course was enchanting, going up rocky, muddy hills, flying down rooty descents, over fallen trees, dodging and ducking, whilst winding through a mystical tree tunnel. The bike course was equally amazing - varied and technical featuring: super steep ascents, winding singletrack, which seemed crafted just for mountain bikers, berns on the bends, crazy fast descents and a section called: 'Yoghurt pots!' which was nuts! Not being completely on (bike) form and nursing a groin injury, I thought I would attack the course tactically. When the horn went off, I went for it on the run, leading the whole way round the run course. I took this lead into the bike course and led for 2 thirds. Unfortunately, my technical skills (or lack of) let me down and I was caught and passed. I tried to stay on the wheels, but had a small crash on a hidden, submerged tree stump. I jumped out of the pedals and with this got nasty cramps in my calves! Managing to shake the cramps, I went in pursuit, but he had gained too much of a gap, with the last section being the most technical. I continued my chase on the 2nd run, but couldn't claw back the time lost, in such a short distance. Regardless, I am happy with 2nd place overall. Most of all I am impressed with such a brilliant event by #triadventure - of which I thoroughly recommend to all Cross Duathletes/Triathletes! #crossduathlon #mtb #race

Impeccable in every way.

Brilliant organisation.
Great course.
Perfectly marked out.
Absolutely nothing to fault. Just a shame this doesn't attract more entrants.!

A lovely friendly event good for first timers looking for a challenge

Felt it would have been good to have some marshals out on the bike course-just at the bottom of some of the steeper single track sections just in case of an accident x

Running course very good but the bike course very very hard and dangerous in some points.

Only one male toilets also broken because the water wasn't flashing. You can understand it!!
