Ground weather dependent. If it has been dry for several days and rains on the actual race day that is fine but if it has been raining continuously for the days leading up to it then we might need to postpone the event until next year. Ideally 3-4 dry days before would be ideal. We normally run this event in May but the car park may not be suitable at the end of October. About ten days out we should be able to see a long range forecast for an update. If 3-4 days before the race looks dry would be great sometimes we get some sunny warm dry October days. If for any reason we need to cancel there is May and September next year and possibly maybe an extra 3rd June date to catch up and give people different options. I'll e-mail everyone about 15th October - the October date I moved the May event from before was just a rough date but after chatting to the vineyard owner the last Sunday in October is better for her after they've done harvest. Coronovirus COVID-19 update: we have changed our event from May to 25th October. Our event is outdoors and less than 100 people including participants and team and races are allowed again now and we'll have 25 people start / 5 minutes later another group of 25 and 5 minutes later the remained so it's staggered and hand sanitizers around instead of the sweets on the more lap tables.
TBC - Currently due to the rule of 6 and current hospitality Covid-19 restrictions unfortunately we can't offer the refreshments (no glass of wine, cake, tea or coffee) but the vineyard are offering £3 off a bottle of wine for finishers.
