The Hillingdon Triathletes are a West London based triathlon club with members from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Herfordshire and surrounding areas. With members ranging from 14 years to 60+ and abilities ranging from novice through to Great Britain team members and World Championship modalities they host a variety of events for wide appeal. Activities such as Trail-quest, cross-country running, road running and adventure racing, the club organises a large number of training events and club races. The friendly and inclusive club have members who are encouranging and regularly compete in triathlons, duathlons.
eventrac founder and experienced triathlete, Aaron Bird and the Hillingdon Triathlete representative Dannu Attias, first partnered in 2015 discussing how to retain the friendly and inclusive club ethos with an automated entry and membership platform.
A key priority for the club was to retain the ability to manage club memberships and accept payments on line. There was also a need to set up labour saving and cost effective online payment for the 30 staged events which included aquathlon, duathlon and triathlons with the added ability to create a series of events and make it attractive for multiple entries. The club also sold merchandise and asked for an offering of a discount code exclusive to club members for any purchases promoted. There needed to be a “fit” with the existing website and additionally a labour saving and low cost way of regularly communicating with current members, event participants and possibly potential entrants.
