Mobile Device Scanning Checks-In Participants And Park & Ride Too
Brighton Half Marathon was a first with a difference for Eventrac when the hugely popular South Coast event deployed our Race Day Check-in Scanning App on mobile phones to manage its 550 vehicle park and ride facility located on the city outskirts away from the race’s route and closed roads.
During and after registration Brighton Half’s online shop sold park and ride tickets to runners and non-runners. All purchasers received a QR code in an automated booking confirmation email which they presented to event staff and volunteers for scanning at the car park entrance.
Eventrac’s RaceDay CheckIn app is designed for race organisers, event staff and volunteers to be able to use the app and the camera on a mobile device to provide a quick and stress-free race day check-in experience.
Installed on their own mobile device, event staff and volunteers can quickly scan a unique QR code that all Eventrac confirmation emails come with. That code can be scanned directly from the recipient's phone screen or from a printout.
For race directors, this means it’s possible to see race day numbers at a glance and for your event staff and volunteers it makes the process of managing merchandise collection and goody bag distribution quick and easy.
