With the option for either a sprint or standard distance race at Box End Lake. This facility is purpose built for watersports, with immaculate water quality and a scenic run route all on site. The venue has been chosen for multiple world and european qualifying events and has also twice held the National Triathlon Championships.

The swim course is one of the most unique in the UK as you swim between the wakeboarding jumps around the 750m loop. You will then take in the beautiful country lanes around Bedford on your bike course before heading out around the lake for an undulating run on grass, through a wooded area before heading back lake side for your finish line.

This event is open to everyone, regardless of ability. For those who don’t want to take part in the run, there is an Aquabike (swim-bike) option, and for those who would like to compete as a team, there is a relay option, with or 2 or 3 individuals sharing the disciplines between them.

This event has a non-draft legal bike leg.

Transgender athletes are, and will continue to be, very welcome at recreational and competitive activity in Triathlon. At any competitive event from 1st January 2023, there will be a Female category open to athletes who are the female sex at birth and an Open category open to all other athletes.
