Mallory Park Junior Triathlon: Where Dreams Take Flight!

At Mallory Park, we believe in nurturing the next generation of triathletes, providing a safe and exhilarating environment for children to discover the thrill of multisport racing. Our traffic-free race circuit sets the stage for an unforgettable experience, whether they're taking their first strokes in open water or aiming for the podium in a professional-level triathlon event.

Event Details:

Race Categories: Join us for races designed for children aged Tristart to Youth, ensuring an inclusive and rewarding experience for participants of all ages and abilities. From beginners to seasoned racers, everyone is welcome to take on the challenge and embrace the spirit of triathlon.

Distances (note ages are at 31/12/2024):

• Tristart (8 yrs old): 100m swim - 1.5km bike - 600m run
• Tristar1 (9-10 yrs old): 200m swim - 4km bike - 1200m run
• Tristar2 (11-12 yrs old): 300m swim - 6km bike - 1800m run
• Tristar3 (13-14 yrs old): 500m swim - 8km bike - 2400m run
• Youth (15-16 yrs old): 500m swim - 8km bike - 2400m run

Format: Enjoy an open-water swim followed by a non-drafting bike leg on the smooth racetrack of Mallory Park. The picturesque setting and well-marked course ensure a safe and enjoyable race experience for all participants.

Junior Race Series: This event is part of both the East-Midlands and West-Midlands Junior Race Series, offering young athletes the opportunity to compete and showcase their talents on a regional level. Ensure correct input of names, clubs, and TriEngland membership numbers during registration.

Supporters: Cheer your young athletes as they tackle the course, with both the bike and run lap designed to enable supporters to cheer them multiple times, amplifying the atmosphere and encouragement throughout the race.

Mallory Park Triathlon Weekend: Extend the excitement with activities for the whole family! Join us for an adult age-group coaching day on Saturday followed by a round of the Super Series for GB's top elites and on Sunday morning take part in adult tri races, creating a memorable weekend of multisport fun for everyone.

Safety: Rest assured, safety is our top priority. With an open-water swim and non-drafting bike leg on tarmac, we ensure a secure and controlled environment for children to thrive and unleash their full potential.

Directions

Parking is available at Mallory Park for £3 per car. We strongly promote car sharing where possible. The parking fee will be collected on exit from the venue to avoid queues on arrival. Please provide cash where possible.
