Question 1

Do your events have onsite parking?

Accepted Answer

It depends on each event location and details of parking and other information will be provided on the event web page. Where possible, we arrange our events to be in areas where there are parking facilities, or nearby parking in streets. Most venues do charge for parking and some venues may have a limited number of parking facilities nearby, so ensure you arrive in plenty of time to park and make your way to the start line.

Question 2

Can I obtain a full refund if I am unable to participate?

Accepted Answer

We allow you to defer your entry to another event or transfer it to another runner up to 1 week before the event. To make the change, you need to log into your Saturn Running account on our website. There is a small fee involved with the transfer together with any additional entry cost relating to the new run.

Question 3

I am entering with a running guide, does my guide need to register and pay?

Accepted Answer

We allow the running guide to compete for free and we will record the guide’s time as a separate participant. However, we may not have a spare medal or goody bag if the event is full. We will need your Guide to sign up on our website and we will provide you with a discount code for your Guide to you.

Question 4

I would like to enter but require a running guide to assist me. Do you provide guides or know any running guides?

Accepted Answer

If you do require a running guide, then please contact us by email and we will try and arrange one. However it may not be possible to find a suitable guide or a guide who can run at your speed.

Question 5

Do you allow early starts for your events?

Accepted Answer

At certain venues we can accomodate early starts. These venues are The Last Hop (Staines) and Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club (Egham).

At all other venues, we are not permitted to set runners off early due to other activities that may use the course, for instance, Junior Parkrun, Parkrun or the location not being open early or courses that have a higher number of marshal points.

Question 6

If I arrive late, can I still participate?

We encourage all competitors to arrive on time, register on time and attend our safety briefing before the race starts. If you are delayed due to travel problems e.g. traffic jams or train delays, we can normally accomodate you starting late but we cannot extend the finish time especially at certain times of the year where daylight hours are shorter.

Question 7

Do you have aid stations & will there be cups to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all of our events will have aid stations at regular intervals (normally under 5 miles apart). Each aid station will be fully stocked with water, soft drinks, sweets, biscuits, crisps, fruit and other goodies. We will also have a range of vegan snacks.

All our events are cupless to reduce waste, which means you must bring your own cup or bottle. These can be left at the aid station during your run on lapped events or will need to be carried on longer out and back or point to point courses.

Question 8

I have a food allergy, will the aid station be suitable?

Accepted Answer

We recommend all participants with a food allergy bring along their own food for the event and a bag to store it in. We can store your bag so it is away from the risk of cross contamination in a separate area. Please inform us when you enter the event that you have a food allergy and we recommend you email us one of two days before the event so that we have a separate area for your things.

Unfortunately, we cannot prevent cross-contamination on the aid station. It is used by all runners, who may use tongs to pick up items you are allergic to.

Question 9

Can I run with my children?

Accepted Answer

You can enter your children at our events, but please be aware there are strict maximum distance rules that must be followed as set out by UK Athletics and the Trail Running Association. The maximum distances are:

Under 12 year olds: 3km
12 - 15 year olds: 5km
16 year olds: 10km
17 year olds: 25km
18 - 19 year olds: 45km
20 year olds +: Any distance

Please note that we require runners under the age of 12 to be accompanied by a parent.

You can run with a child in a buggy, but we would request the child is over 6 months old and in addition, you have a suitable buggy. We recommend runners with a buggy check the course in advance on entering.

Question 10

Can I run with my dog?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on route. Whilst we love dogs, the licences we obtain for our events prohibit dogs from running.

Question 11

What do I do if I get injured during the event?

Accepted Answer

All participants will be provided with an emergency number to call should they require medical assistance preventing them from continuing to the next aid station. If you do not have a mobile phone, there will be several participants or members of the public who are likely to have a mobile telephone. We encourage all participants to carry a mobile telephone, fully charged and with sufficient credit to enable them to make phone calls.

Question 12

I would like to do a shorter / longer distance than the one I signed up for, is this possible?

Accepted Answer

Yes it is possible! All runners can always drop down their distance on the day of the run.

If you have signed up for 5k or 10k and you now wish to do a longer distance, we will need you to log into your account on our website. From here you should be able to transfer into any other distance.

If you have entered under the Time Challenge, this means you can do any distance you want.

Question 13

What does the Time Challenge category mean?

Accepted Answer

The Time Challenge provides you with the greatest control over your run. You can run as many of as few laps as you want. Whilst you have 7 hours, you do not have to run for the full 7 hours.
