The start was a bit weird, people further back in the queue didn’t even know the race had started. Normally there is a loud starting noise.
It was a pity there was no finish arch.
Much better marshalling at the corner by the Netherfield turn off this year. I felt a lot safer.

A bag storage place would be good. more than 4 toilets for over 500 runners would be useful.
Tough for beginners, relentless climbing
The pre race briefing by the George should have been by the Abbey. Couldn't hear a word of it

Well Marshalled.
We were kept safe whilst allowing for roads to be left open.
At the start of race consider putting some cones up to ensure runners only use the left hand side of the road so they go through the start and keep the right hand side clear for runners going back down the High Street.

A largely rural road run; very well organised and marshalled. The course is tough; over 100m of ascent and descent, so a bit of extra training is advised before taking on this challenge.

Very nice course. Just could have done with a couple of extra porta toilets. But very good. Had 2 water stations enroute.

The scenery on the Powdermill Catsfield section are outstanding .
Great annual event
Well supported with marshalls and local residents.
Powdermill Lane was better managed with only a couple at cars getting through.

As usual the battle 10k hasn't let me down. The marshals were friendly and encouraging. As this is the eighth time of doing it and looking to book next year, I would recommend it to all.
The hills bite hard but I do recommend giving it a go.

With how popular this event is becoming I would recommend some more toilets available, the queue was huge!!
