Great marshals well organised lots of first aid points /
Loved it. I travel up from Devon for this
Fourth time I think. Love this event
Hilly and Boggy
Wind, bog, ice and water. Not to mention some b*stard hills and climbs! Great workout and achievement. Great Race!
Pretty brutal
Well organised and supported event
Challenging run
Be kinder to the environment... no plastic cups and no plastic bags around the medals!
Challenging, fantastic event
Marshals were super!
Great organisation, great race
Great location, course sn
The use of plastic cups and associated debris needs a thorough review. I took my own water to avoid using cups.
At all stations there were cups thrown away by competitors and being blown in the wind. Marshals should be empowered to DQ anyone found littering even at stations.
Best race of the year.
Very friendly and well organised
Great race, great atmosphere, lovely route and very well organised with friendly and helpful marshals.
Only one negative which was the bottleneck caused by having to go through 2 kissing gates early in the race. It didn't spoil the event but would have been better without this.
All race marshalls, officials, and volunteers were great, very supportive, and encouraging throughout the course. Well done team. Fantastic event.
Tough course but very well organised and lots of marshalls supporting round the course
Great atmosphere on challenging course
Be comfortable with cross country conditions and steep hills. Great event!
Great run in great surroundings. It’s a good mix of hilly, muddy, flat, wet track, Something in it for everyone.
World class atmosphere and very challenging
Great feeling to complete this challenging course
Conquered at 60 years old
Thoroughly enjoyable, varied, scenic route
Hill at the end is mean
Best Marshalls in town
Sweeper was amazing
First time doing this race, and really enjoyed the varied and challenging route
Only negative was the mass of plastic cups at the water points. Unless you are using up old supplies, surely this isn't really the right approach in 2024? Runners can easily carry their own container, whether water bottle or soft silicone cup - and can fill up from water containers if needed. Also cups were not being promptly collected from the ground - they were blowing around everywhere and it's highly likely that some would not be recovered afterwards. Even small single use paper cups would be better!
