Very welcoming event for any beginners however you will definitely need to train!!
Mud that will stick to your shoes for miles, oh and some hills
Great atmosphere, support and volunteers. Every year I say never again, maybe this year I'll mean it
I've done it three times now ... that last mile or so never gets any easier!
Enough of a challenge
Stunning views on a course that is very challenging at the beginning and the end. There was also enough mud for you to question your life choices!
Organisation and support was first class.
I worry about the cupless aspect of the water stations. I get why you do it but could put people off. A small point on an otherwise good day
Excellent race well organised.
This is the toughest race of the year for me but the challenge, atmosphere and organisation always brings me back.

Overall good but let down by poor hygiene
Loved the event on the whole. Marshals were so friendly and encouraging. Stunning scenery.
Let down coming up to the drinks station at mile 10.3ish. A marshal let a runner drink coke directly from the jug that they then put back on the table for other runners to use. Simply disgusting.
Great 1st time racing here and the weather was great. Fantastic scenery and the marshals and organisation slick.
I found stopping at water stations to get my cup and put it away again broke my rhythm too much faffing.
I prefer running not carrying.
No mention on website or map(that I could find) where water stations located so hard to plan fueling.

Well organised, tough run but great sense of accomplishment when finished

Great organisation. Plenty of marshals who were all lovely and encouraging. Great support. A thoroughly enjoyable event - apart from the hills and mud

Brutal & challenging
Great race but…
I think this is a really good race especially for people that are training for marathons or half but I will say there is a bit of a safety issue when it comes to the mud. There’s only a certain amount that can cause some issues with people for example people holding onto the wires and cutting themselves as well as the Mud causing people to fall that would be my only constructive criticism. Overall it’s a good run for people specially if you want to test yourself. Friendly atmosphere great marshals and very friendly club
