Really good event.
Just one, there never seems to be any trophies or anything for the winner of these races compared to other races out there.

The people at the end of the race weren't very cheerful, encouraging or even celebrating of peoples achievements. I've never seen such a boring finish before. Everyone volunteering appeared so disinterested.
There was so Veggie option left at the Ship Inn which is a shame, they did however accommodate something for us to eat.

Would definitely recommend this race

1st time i have done a Grim race at Bridlington but have done the October half marathon with Bridlington road runners

A lovely scenic course but very disappointing that it was laps
I was hoping for the route towards Flamborough Head. Whilst this was great as a 10k route and I am happy as I hadn’t done this route, I was so disappointed that the second half was the same again. I found this unnecessary and decided to withdraw. However, your staff were very helpful and provided me with a 10k medal and adjusted the results accordingly. This was done quickly and professionally. Bridlington is beautiful and I hope the Flamborough route will be available for a future year

Really enjoyed it and the free bacon buttie!
Could do with more toilets.

Nice morning winter run
Maybe more posters etc to let the 1000s of daytrippers more knowledge of the event and it maybe that they are more aware of runners
Chris Spurr
Nice well organised event for all abilities

Great race 100% Parking -100
I love all GRIM races especially this one to end the year but will be considering whether to attend again as parking was dreadful if you drive a large heavy van. Told when paid for parking if I didn’t want to park on grass I could park in town & walk back! At 8 o’clock for 8.30 start - not sure how I was expected to do that.Tried parking on grass & sliding everywhere. Other heavy vehicles also slipping. At this stage just felt I’d rather just go home & forget the whole thing. Lovely man on this parking sent me to sensible spot at side of path - huge thank you to him for noting my stress & saving the day. Sadly this might put me off next year

Overall good
The water stations were easy to miss, we didn’t know it was cup-less so we had to scramble for a waterbottle. The fact they wanted us to pay for parking was not in the race pack AFAIK - and they expected cash, not cards - which people rarely carry these days. The fact the half marathon was twice there and back was a bit of a surprise to us but it seems to have been our fault for reading it wrong on the website - but loads of people said they were surprised by that bit too, so it’s not just us I guess. I understand they don’t want to send out a race pack in the post - that’s fine. But they could’ve sent an email with the important info like where and when is the start, parking info, the gpx files were extremely difficult to find - could’ve added a link there). But other than that it was well organised. The water stations could use a bit more of a sign because we missed it on our first there and back. Yeah overall would do again, it’s grim up north usually do a good job, and I feel this was well organised overall with little niggles here and there.
