Good set up but needs more facilities
Enjoyed the event over all and the sign-in organisation was great!
The speaker at the start line couldn’t be heard by many and needed a megaphone. Rules of staying to the left if you are slower should have been communicated (unless this was and we couldn’t hear it) Going through the park was difficult because slower people were running next to each other and didn’t allow for easy overtaking.
Porter-loos should have been provided, people had to queue for a very long time at colt to go to the toilet and then wee in the bushes if they needed it closer to the start line. Thanks
Keira Liburd
Lovely course
Medals should be included as standard in a fee. Getting faster runners to the front of the start and encouraging slower runners to not bunch at the front would be helpful.
Linda Whitehead
Great organisation & communication
Victoria Patterson
Really scenic race and a lovely atmosphere.
Nick Turner
Good event!
Tammy Willis
Really good race, friendly and well organised

Very Good Local Race
Good value overall. I enjoyed the race overall. I prefer closed roads but I know it's not always possible. A participant fell in front of me at the second to last turn to the finish. I did the same- so that might need looking into. Good value overall, good setting and great scenery. This would be a good run for most people, at all levels.
Liz Lord
A great run really enjoyed it!
I struggled with the drink station being on that steep zig zag bend at the halfway mark and being in cups, but that’s a minor quibble really. Enjoyed the route.
I have to say I was quite underwhelmed by the medal it doesn’t compare to some others I’ve had.
Nice touch to offer leg massages at the end of the course!!
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable morning; I have already entered next year’s race.
Huge thanks to everyone for organising and to all the volunteers.

Over priced
I paid £31.50 for this event which I think is so expensive. May not do again for price. Don’t even get a shirt or medal
A bottle of water !
Rebecca Hatfield
Enjoyable
Lovely route to do for my 1st 10k!
Edgar Hopkin
Love the course.
Number issue would have been smoother if the ankle tags had have been positioned after number issue, not the table before as runners lined up to move clockwise.
It would have prevented runners moving ing back across the queue to get tags.
Nicola Lindley
Fast, flatish, and picturesque for the first’ half.
Only negative - as an admittedly shameless collector of medals, this one left a fair bit to be desired.
Picturesque route, especially the first half along the tow path, couple of low gradient hills in the second half and a very short steep bit but basically PB material
Michelle Smithies
Nice run, good route. Friendly people
Nice run and lovely route, but we couldn’t hear anything being said at the beginning, and then to be told at the finish we don’t get a medal was really disappointing.
Martin Clee
Friendly well organised local 10k
The water station being on a tight bend on steep hill was a massive no from me. There was no way I’d have been able to grab water and drink it whilst inhaling heavily before well onto the top road by which time I would surely have spilt from the cup.
Also - I think it might work better in reverse.
Toby Underwood
Great race, v friendly.
Celebrate the age group runners
Brad Walker
Brill race
Great scenery, no issues with toilets, parking was fine
Simple course so can't go wrong, just a nice atmosphere
Rob Bowman
Outstanding
Very well organised, all the staff and volunteers so friendly and no matter your pace encouraged all the way round
Peter Mills
All round great run
One complaint was how the website read. It was a bit misleading about medal/t-shirt situation. It read as you got a medal and could pay extra for a t-shirt, not one or the other.
Chris Thorpe
It's flat for Brighouse!
A great event, well organised looking forward to the next challenge!
Nigel Eves
Always well organised without being stuffy. All abilities welcomed equally
See you next year?
