Embark on a magical trail running journey through ancient woodlands, hidden reservoirs, towering wind turbines and unrivalled views of the Brecon Beacons National park culminating in a dramatic, fast descent into the lively and spectacular Dare Valley Country park.

Mud, gravel, forest tracks and mountain.

Race Distances

• Dare Valley 10k - 6.5 miles / 1000ft
• Dare Valley Half-Marathon - 13.1miles / 1942ft
• Double Dare Full Marathon - 26.5miles / 4200ft

Markings

Fully marked with running arrows and flags.

Registration and Race Bib Collection

• Full marathon - 0630-0730
• ½ marathon - 0830 - 0930
• 10km - 0930 -1030

Start Times

• Full marathon - 0800
• ½ marathon - 1000
• 10km -1100

Please be at the start line 10 minutes before the race start.

Car Parking

The car parking for 10k and half marathon runners is at CF44 8UH.

The car park for the marathon runners is at CF44 7RG and opens at 0615.

Car parking is included in the event cost.

Time Limit

All courses close at 4pm giving very generous time limit for the event.

• 10k - 5 hours
• Half marathon - 6 hours
• Marathon - 8 hours

Kit

The following kit must be carried throughout:

• Bottle or plastic cup if water is required from checkpoints
• Phone with race HQ number on
• Waterproof top (if the forecast is poor)
• Headwear suitable for conditions (warm hat, sun hat or trail revolution buff)
• Spare long sleeve running top or base layer - if conditions are poor!
• Device with the GPS route on it. Most people will use a phone app, but it may also be a gps watch or handheld gps device.
