Best running event in my lifetime
Superb level of organisation, help and support.
Do not underestimate the micro climate of Dartmoor and the elevation of its hills.
Hilly, beautiful, brilliant!
A fantastic hilly road race, with incredible attention to detail by the organisers. The rain for the 2025 DD was something else - it just got worse and worse! - but the marshals were so cheerful and supportive for the full 32 miles. Runners were brilliantly cared for at the end, with foil blankets at the finish line, warm showers, endless tea/coffee, and a great range of much appreciated free food. Prize-giving presentation was slick and celebratory. Clearly a race organised by runners, for runners. It doesn't get much better than this!

My favourite event of the year
This is a challenging event not for the faint hearted but the Trotters know how to put on a good race! It’s my favourite racing event in the calendar. LOVE IT.
Absolutely amazing event, tough but well worth it
The whole event was by far the most organised event I have ever taken part it, the Marshalls were superb, standing out in horrendous conditions but still with smiles and cheers for everyone, I couldn’t fault this event

Just an all around fantastic event
Everything about this tough event just delivered. From the pre run communications, the venue on the day, the amazing marshals on the course, the HQ team supplying food, drinks, space blankets...the plentiful awards given. It really is a gem of an event.
Simply the best!
Excellent event superbly organised by Teignbridge Trotters. If you want to test yourself on the road beyond marathon distance this is the one to do as long as you like hills!
