Fabulous half marathon

A well organised event with lots of friendly people. Really liked how flat the route was as I was able to push for a PB! Thanks to all, I’ll be back!

Great first marathon

As a first marathon it was a nice flat time. only downside it was a little boring with how little amounts of runners are around and the boredom of the canal. But great run for anybody

Lovely 5k route along the historic Leeds and Liverpool Canal

Not quite as quick as I thought it would be, that is probably because of the hills at Three and Five Rise Locks, but a great out and back 'sprint'.

Excellent 10k run on the mostly flat canal path. Wasn't too crowded and staff were all very friendly. Good atmosphere! Prepare yourself for the five rise locks.....

Very well organised and great event.

Would have liked the water to be poured in cups at the water stations to aid runners times. But, I am not sure if there is a reason for not doing this.

Well organised, generous and super friendly!!

Lovely setting. Good facilities. Small walk but they had somewhere to stick your jacket at the startline so nobody was cold. As always the medals are head and shoulders above all other medals i have had in terms of quality and motive and the spread was spectacular! Wonderful atmosphere! A decent crowd of the warmest and jolliest people you will meet! If you are new to this group you will feel at home instantly. There is always a smile and a good word for everyone.
Cant wait for the next event!

Terrific course .....need to dig deep at 3km

A portable loo at the start and finish depending on cost would be only thing that I'd change

Hi, thanks for your review. Yes the 5 rise locks are a challenge at 3k. We've had portaloos at the start before, unfortunately, we can't just hire one and the costs have spiralled.

Great event, particularly for novices, plenty of camaraderie

Would have loved to have seen merchandise for sale as im sure there would have been plenty of sales whilst people are in the moment.

Fun, scenic run with the added challenge of the 5 rise locks

The times for the 5k are incorrect, possibly due to it starting late. Gun times and chip times are showing as the same and about 9 minutes more than actual time
