Got a bit confused going out on the run as was looking for orange signs but the 1st one was yellow - my error but after doing the old run route previously I should have paid more attention. Otherwise really enjoyed it!

Brilliant event my first ever triathlon had best time and really enjoyed the course will be back for more.

What an absolutely amazing local event! If you’re considering your first triathlon, the Early Brigg Triathlon is the perfect place to start. From start to finish, the organisation was outstanding.

I collected my race number the day before the event, and I have to give a special shout-out to the two young children helping out – they were incredibly professional and did a fantastic job. I was genuinely impressed by their maturity and enthusiasm.

The pre-race briefing was essential, clearly explaining every detail: from exiting the pool, navigating transition, and heading out on the bike course, all the way to the run and across the finish line. The poolside marshals were especially thorough and supportive, guiding us on when to enter the water and giving us a helpful 10-second countdown before starting.

The marshals throughout transition and the course were simply brilliant – upbeat, encouraging, and always pointing us in the right direction. Their energy truly made a difference. Even the photographers were not only snapping great shots but also cheering us on, which added to the uplifting atmosphere.

Out on the course, the camaraderie among competitors was heartwarming. We exchanged high-fives on the run and cheers on the bike – everyone was so positive and supportive.

Overall, it was a wonderful, well-run event. The whole morning was brilliant, and I’m so glad I took part. Huge thanks to all involved – I’ll definitely be back.

I loved the event, would definitely do it again, but my only note would be that the grassy section at the start of the run was really uneven and I kept cobbling over. Maybe there is an alternate route?

Is it possible to add in a postal of numbers option? Happy to pay a couple of pounds more. This morning we got up at 4.30am to get there between 6 and 7am. I was exhausted and couldn't string a sentence together. I thought my husband was joking when he told me what time we'd be getting up.

Really nice event, despite being really tired.

Great event - that was well organised.

Weather conditions were terrible (so lots of Type 2 fun)- but the event organiser and BTF official took account of that, and so it still felt a safe and welcoming race. (able to leave clothes in plastic bag to keep them dry, and cutting short the medal ceremony so we could get home and warm up)

Bike route fast and flat in the right conditions (with limited traffic). Run route fun in the mud

I'd do it again next year

This was my first ever triathlon and despite the horrendous weather conditions, I really enjoyed it. The support on the day was brilliant and everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Always good always well organised but now getting expensive and paying extra for the T-shirt smarts a bit, this year the shirt was pap sorry but others have been great back n front printed but this year considering we’re paying extra it felt very cheap
