Fitness Testing Day

*Fitness Testing Day is suitable for ALL ABILITIES. There is absolutely no requirement to be a certain level of fitness to take part. In addition, some tests may not be suitable for some people, and so you can avoid certain tests if your circumstances or inclination dictates!

Based at Rhewl Pavilion, with suitable indoor and (weather depending) outdoor space to conduct the tests, this is an opportunity for members to get real mesaurable stats on different components of fitness. We often 'measure' our progress or otherwise simply by how we feel - and that's fine, but to know exactly where you are and how to improve in certain areas - specific measurements are really required. Once undertaken, your results will be recorded, and you'll get a document detailing your results and giving an indication of where improvements should look to be made, and how you can go about that.

Crucially, the results can be kept and another testing day shall be held in the Spring, to see how you have (hopefully!) progressed.

The tests shall measure the following:

- Flexibility

- Aerobic Capacity (Running) or 6 Minute Walk Test

- Strength Endurance

- Lung Capacity

- Resting Heart Rate & Training Zone determinations

- Body Fat %

- Balance

- Anaerobic Capacity

- Speed

- Anaerobic Power

- Reaction

 

Location
