Can I ride my e-bike?

Yes - off-road e-bikes are welcome but you will need to have a second battery as there will be no charging points when we stay over in the middle of the desert

How fit do I need to be?

You'll need to be able to ride comfortably for 2 hours off-road at a steady pace.

Do I have to share a room?

Accepted Answer

No, some of us value a bit of privacy, but this comes with a price! You can book a single room supplement when booking.

Question 4

How fast will we be riding?

We'll be riding at a steady pace, roughly 7/9 miles per hour,  more experienced (read faster)  riders will be able to ride on ahead following the GPX route.

Will I get get a GPX file?

Accepted Answer

Yes, GPX files for each day will included in the Rider Info pack emailed to all riders the week before the ride starts.

Will we be riding as a group?

Not necessarily, depends on the riders, the weather and how long people want to stop for lunch - everyone will have a GPX file of the route and can ride at their own pace.

How do I get to Granada?

Accepted Answer

There are direct flights to Granada by Vueling, alternatively, you can fly to Malaga and catch a bus to Granada, it takes about 2 hours.

Another option (highly recommended but not necessarily the cheapest) is to fly and catch the high speed train from Madrid Airport Station directly  to Granada, it a spectacular  3 hours train journey.

You will need to catch a taxi from the train and bus station to Pl Aliatar, Albaicin 18010 Granada. We will meet you there and walk you to the caves through the maze of alleys.

Is camping gear included/provided?

We will be sleeping under the stars for 1one night in the middle of the Gorafe desert, you'll need to bring your sleeping mat/bivvy and sleeping bag,  these can be left with us to bring when you drop your bike off with us in London.  (If the forecast is for rain we will stay in a local B&B)

What food is included?

Breakfast, dinner with a reasonable amount of drinks are included when staying in Granada, no food is included on days when we're riding in the Gorafe.
