A route of around 11km from Rhydd Ddu briefly following the Slate Trail before heading for the summit of Mynydd Mawr and returning through the forest.
The route is suitable for fit walkers who can move at an average of 2.5mph with rest stops. There is no rush, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the views and the company.
