Guided Walks

Next Race: 11/05/2024 + 2 others

Walking has got to be one of the most fun ways of exploring an area, discovering new sights, meeting new people and connecting with a landscape. Our guided walks mean you can do all of that without the stress of having to navigate, be responsible or find the best places to stop for tea and cake. We seflessly test the cake too!

At Embrace Adventures we love guiding individuals, groups or busines teams so if you don't see an area you would like to explore, please get in touch. Likewise if you see a route but would like to tweak if for whatever reason. We can design adventures that suit you. A day out in the hills can be a great chance to complete a challenge and get to know others.

Guided walks are led by experienced and qualifed Mountain Leaders or Lowland Leaders who are fully insured and qualified in Outdoor First Aid.

Guided Walks follow known paths which can be uneven, sometimes muddy or rocky. People need to be confident that they are fit enough to complete the route.  If you have any questions regarding this or need assistance in specific areas please get in touch. Children over the age of 12 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must have the stamina to complete the walk. If for whatever reason, you wish to stop walking, the guide will help you arrange transport back to the start and will then accompany the rest of the group to continue the route.

Your guide will provide all the navigation and safety kit to make this trip enjoyable, but please bring the following with you:

- Suitable hillwalking boots/shoes that you have worn on a long walk before. (no trainers or wellies). Walks are hilly and you will need ankle support.
- A decent waterproof jacket (waterproof trousers too, if you have them)
- Extra clothing to suit the forecast, e.g extra jumper, gloves, warm hat or sun hat, suntan lotion, sunglasses (sometimes all of those )
- Lunch and snacks.
- 2 litres of water
- A small rucksack to carry everything in

The Surrey 3 Peaks - 11th May 2024 - Celebrate Surrey Day with Embrace Adventures and Chimney Fire Coffee

If you are looking to take on a walking challenge down south, then the 36km / 23 mile Surrey 3 Peaks Challenge is a must. Starting and finishing at Chimney Fire Coffee HQ, Denbies Vineyard (a short walk from the main Dorking train station) we head out on into England's most wooded county to take in Leith Hill, the highest point in the south east, Holmbury Hill and lastly Box Hill. Our reward for the uphills are glorious views across beautiful countryside and plenty of interesting sights along the way including Surrey's waterfall, WW2 pill boxes, iron age forts, Leith Hill Tower and the famous Box Hill Stepping Stones. The route touches on the long distance routes Pilgrims Way, the Greensand Way and The North Downs Way.
