Everyone is welcome to “tri triathlon” at the prestigious Surrey Sports Park – a venue boasting a state-of-the-art sports centre.

 

This Sprint Triathlon is an exceptional choice for chasing personal bests, first-time triathletes, or those who prefer indoor pool facilities.

 

The Kids TriStar Aquathlons are the perfect introductory event for children aged 8 to 14 looking to try multisport - perhaps for the first time - or to improve on previous years.

Event merchandise is available for purchase during registration for delivery by the following weekend when ordered by Sunday.

 

All of our events are organised following government and governing body COVID-19 guidance. We will continue to ensure that we deliver safe and enjoyable events.

 

Entry on the day will not be available.

Multisport Components

Triathlon (Sprint)                SWIM 500m / BIKE 23Km / RUN 5Km

Aquathlon (TriStart Start)  SWIM 50m / RUN 500m

Aquathlon (TriStart 1)         SWIM 150m / RUN 1.5Km

Aquathlon (TriStart 2)        SWIM 200m / RUN 2Km

Aquathlon (TriStart 3)        SWIM 300m / RUN 3Km

 

Licensing

The Triathlon is draft-illegal (TT bikes permitted) and is expected to be licensed with the British Triathlon Federation (BTF), the competition rules of which can be found hereWe recommend participants familiarise themselves with the information therein, specifically sections­­ 4 (Swimming), 5 (Cycling), 6 (Running) & 7 (Transition) for details on equipment and their expected conduct during the event. Entry includes day membership for non-BTF members which will be provided on event day.

 

Bib Numbers

Bib numbers (and bike stickers/swimming caps where applicable) are available for collection at the event only, participants should not expect to receive anything by mail.

 

Results

Results will be uploaded live to our website (internet connection permitting) and communicated to all pre-registered participants within 24 hours of the event.

 

Rewards

All finishers will receive a medal on completing their event and, subject to a competitive field of participants, prizes may be available for the top three Triathlon places overall - and the top place in each of the veteran categories (V40/V50/V60/V70) - for both females and males. Winners will be notified via email by the end of the following weekonce results are considered final.

 

Facilities

 

Medical Cover

Suitable medical cover is provided at our events in case of a medical emergency. 

 

Bag Drop

Whilst we recommend bringing as little as possible, participants can leave essential belongings with us using the tear-off baggage strip on their bib.

 

Photography

Event images are expected to be available, usually within 24 hours of the event.

 

Water Stations

Water will not be available on the 5K route, only at the finish. Participants must carry with them anything necessary to refuel and hydrate during the event.

 

Toilets

Toilets will be available in the Sports Centre for use throughout the event.

 

Changing Rooms/Showers 

Changing rooms/showers will be available in the Sports Centre.

 

Other Information

 

Wheelchairs

This event is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the nature of the terrain.

 

Spectators

Spectators are permitted at this event.

 

Earphones/Headphones 

The use of earphones/headphones is prohibited throughout this event.
